Mother if it wasn’t for you I would never have existed,

If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be so optimistic,

You lifted up my spirits when I was down,

And you told me that I was gifted,

I only have one Mother and that is you, there is no other,

I now understand it’s hard to pay the bills,

When you have to raise two kids as a single mother,

I love ya, you’re the reason I never gave up on my dreams,

When I was low on confidence, you help me raise my self esteem,

You are a Queen, without a King, but I’m your prince, your only son,

I’m truly sorry if I ever upset you mum,

This poem is to show you how much I care,

Life is unfair,

And I know it’s hard to dream, when you’re living inside a nightmare,

But please keep your head up,

The promise land is waiting for us and one day we will get there.
